Paper Presentations at 1st National Conference on Neuro Developmental differences 2023

Department of Pediatrics, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute along with Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, National Health Mission- Karnataka and Indian Academy of Pediatrics – Bangalore organized 1st National Conference on Neurodevelopmental differences 2023 on 13,14th May, 2023 At Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.

The objective of this conference is Understanding Early Diagnosis and Intervention in Children with Developmental Differences through the ICF Framework.

Amar Seva Sangam’s Enabling Inclusion Program follows ICF Framework (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) for the intervention of childhood disabilities. 

In the conference, two papers were presented to showcase Amar Seva Sangam’s work.

  1. Integrating the ICF, family-centered care and community-based rehabilitation in rural South India: The Enabling Inclusion® model and app, presented by Ms. Navamani Venkatachalapathy , Lead for the Implementation of Enabling Inclusion Program  – This paper highlighted how the EI model brings together the – ICF, Family centered care and Community Based Rehabilitation for the service delivery. This 
  2. Enabling local provision of assistive products in rural South India: An organizational survey of needs, barriers, and facilitators, presented by Ms. Dhamanlakshmi Murugan – Training Executive, Centre of Excellence.  This paper highlighted our research on enabling local provision of AT and the initiatives taken based on the recommendations of the study.
