Amar Seva Sangam has been awarded the Best Assistive Technology(AT) initiative among NGOs in 2022 from AssisTech Foundation for our Enabling Inclusion – Pediatric Assistive Technology Access program.
This is the most prestigious nationally recognized award in the field of Assistive Technology in India.
This award was given to the NGO which has not only created awareness about assistive technology but also implemented strategy to create sustainable impact.
Our strategy has been multifold and has included a
- Research study to assess community needs,
- Referral, assessment & prescription for key Assistive Products (AP)
- Funding and ordering
- Product preparation, fitting and modifications
- Training in use of AP to parents
- Maintenance & repairs
- Community awareness
