EI App Pilot Initiative by Tamilnadu Model
Sharing a Significant Milestone
We are pleased to share an important milestone under a pilot initiative launched by Tamil Nadu Model Schools to strengthen post-school transition planning for youth with Intellectual Disabilities. As part of this initiative, young individuals who have completed Class XII but have not transitioned into higher education are being assessed using the VAPS (Vocational Assessment and Programming System) tool through the Enabling Inclusion (EI) Application developed by Amar Seva Sangam. EI App allows a structured and evidence-based framework for vocational profiling and informed career pathway development.
About the VAPS Framework
The VAPS tool systematically evaluates functional capacity, adaptive behavior, work-related competencies, task performance skills, and overall vocational readiness. Integrated within the EI Application, it enables structured scoring, digital documentation, and generation of individualized assessment reports. These insights support data-driven career guidance, appropriate skill-training alignment, and long-term livelihood planning tailored to each individual’s strengths and capabilities.
Data Privacy and Information Security
In collaboration with Government stakeholders, Amar Seva Sangam adheres to robust data governance standards and holds ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Management System – ISMS) certification. This reflects established protocols for data privacy, secure information handling, and risk management, ensuring responsible and compliant management of assessment data.
Advancing Inclusive Career Pathways
This pilot represents a foundational step toward scalable, outcome-oriented transition models for youth with disabilities. By emphasizing strengths-based assessment and structured planning, the initiative supports meaningful workforce participation, independence, and dignified community inclusion.
