Amar Seva Sangam was co organiser of the international conference for Inclusion and Integration of Persons with Disabilities across the Lifespan . The conference was conducted on the 12th and 13th of February at Manipal Academy of higher education( MAHE) . It’s saw professionals from different areas like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, optometry and social work come together to have this conference be a great success under the guidance of Dr Arun Maiya , Dean , Manipal colllege of of Health professions, Dr John Solomon , HOD , Physiotherapy department , and the organizing team.
There was a large representation of both research and keynote speakers from ASSA, talking about and discuss and presenting the work that was done over the course of the year. Mrs Sulo Krishnan, spoke about the work down at ASSA at the inauguration of the conference and keynote speeches were given by Miss Marie Brien, physiotherapist and Franzina Coutinho occupational therapist. Many research posters were presented by the team and ASSA and the platform presentation was won by Ms Nisha Bharadwaj , a Masters student working collaboratively with MAHE and ASSA. The conference was a resounding success : both from an educational perspective and from a research showcase stand as well.
